Terms of service

About these terms

These terms apply to this website, the merchant dashboard and the Reflektit app for Shopify. The service is provided by Reflektit, owner Hamza Chtioui, Huttenstraße 38, 10553 Berlin, Germany. Contact: contact@reflektit.com.

By using the service you agree to these terms. How we handle personal data is described in the privacy policy.

The service

Reflektit lets people preview how eyewear and clothing might look on them. It offers a camera mirror that runs in the browser and AI photo previews created from a still photo the person uploads. Merchants can add these previews to their own storefront.

Parts of the service are early previews and may change, be limited or be withdrawn.

AI previews are illustrations

An AI photo preview is a generated image showing an approximate appearance. It is not a measurement of you and does not confirm fit, size, comfort, prescription suitability or optical performance. Faces, colours and product details in a result can differ from reality.

Do not rely on a preview as the only basis for a purchase, and do not rely on it for any medical or optical decision. The merchant's own product information and returns policy apply to anything you buy.

Upload only a photo of yourself, or one you have permission to use. A photo is sent for processing only after you tick the consent box next to it.

Merchants

If you use Reflektit on your store, you confirm that:

  • you may accept these terms for the business that owns the store;
  • you have the rights to the product names and images you make available to the service;
  • you present results to your shoppers as AI appearance previews and make no fit, size or accuracy claims based on them;
  • your own privacy notice tells shoppers that the preview on your store is provided by Reflektit, and links to our privacy policy.

The Shopify app reads published products with the read_products permission only. On Shopify, the preview is offered for eyewear products.

Your use of Shopify remains subject to your agreement with Shopify.

Plan and billing on Shopify

Shopper previews in the Shopify app require an active plan. The plan and its price are shown on Shopify's plan page before you approve it. There are currently three plans, each billed every 30 days with no free trial: Free at $0 with 10 successful previews per billing cycle, Starter at $29 USD with 100, and Pro at $99 USD with 1,000.

  • All charges are billed by Shopify on your Shopify invoice. We do not charge you outside Shopify.
  • A preview counts when a result is returned to the shopper. A failed generation does not count.
  • When the included previews are used, previews stop until the next billing cycle. There are no overage charges.
  • Unused previews do not carry over to the next billing cycle.
  • You can review, change or cancel your plan at any time from the app's Manage plan link or in your Shopify admin.

If we change the plan, the new terms apply only after you approve them on Shopify.

Acceptable use

You must not:

  • upload a photo of another person without their permission, or any unlawful content;
  • use the service to identify people or to create misleading images of real people;
  • bypass usage limits, automate requests in bulk or interfere with the service's security;
  • copy, resell or reverse engineer the service, except where the law allows it.

We apply request limits to protect the service and may block use that breaks these rules.

Availability

We work to keep the service running but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. AI previews depend on a third-party image provider. If that provider is unavailable or a spending safeguard is reached, generation stops with a message and is not retried automatically.

Ending use

You can stop using the service at any time. Merchants can uninstall the Shopify app from their Shopify admin, which ends our access to the store immediately. To delete a dashboard account, write to contact@reflektit.com.

We may suspend or end access if these terms are seriously or repeatedly broken, or if we stop offering the service.

Liability

We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, and where the law does not permit liability to be limited.

For slight negligence we are liable only for breach of an essential contractual duty, and then only for the foreseeable damage typical of this kind of service. Otherwise our liability for slight negligence is excluded.

Nothing in these terms limits rights that consumers have under mandatory law.

Law and changes

German law applies. If you are a consumer living in another country, the mandatory consumer protection rules of that country continue to apply to you.

We may update these terms when the service changes. The date at the top shows the latest version. Changes that affect a paid plan take effect only as described under Plan and billing.
